Each year we are blessed by many amazing volunteers who come for a few days, a few weeks or the entire summer to work with our reading program during PUMP's Summer Program. This summer we are looking for 20 volunteers each Monday through Wednesday morning to read with kindergarten through fifth graders. No teaching experience is necessary - just come and read!
Your Christian example and care are invaluable to the children in our program. Teachers and administrators in the local schools have commented on the difference they see in the children who have been involved in our program through the summer. These students are doing better and retaining more over the break than those students not in our summer program.
We are making a difference! Please consider investing a little of your time in a young person striving to grow in the Lord and in their reading ability.
